After an eventful 22 hours, our group of Saints travelers have arrived in Rome! Our original flight out of Washington-Dulles was delayed, and effects cascaded one after another such that we had plenty of time to explore the international terminals of Dulles and London Heathrow.

We finally arrived in Rome, where we met Megan and Belle, our guides for the week. They took us on a brief driving tour of the Forum Boarium and the Tiber River on our way to check in at the hotel. A winding walk through the city streets led us past the Coliseum and the Trevi Fountain all the way to a local pizzeria and gelateria.

Although we are exhausted from our journey, we are excited to embark on our first full day of sightseeing tomorrow (the Pantheon and Villa Borghese) – after a restful night in the hotel, of course!
