Madrid

Thomas S: Today we went into Madrid to see Placio (Palace) Real. When we first arrived we were taken to the outside of the palace to see the garden which was well maintained and very nice. After seeing all that the garden had to offer, it was time for a tour of the palace itself. First walking in we were greeted with a grand staircase and a massive art piece on the ceiling. Room after room each decorated with unique designs and with plenty of giant chandeliers. After the tour of the palace we went into the armory to admire each piece of armor that was used in the past. Finally we were able to get lunch with our friends and went back on the bus to head back to school.

Thomas M:

Today we went to the Madrid for a tour of the Royal Palace. Our tour was at 12:00, so we spent the hour and a half before walking around the near gardens that had many quiet spots to sit and listen to the peaceful fountain (and the very romantic acordeon music). Then it was tour time. Each of us got an ipad with headphones to do a self guided tour of about 15 of the Palace rooms. I will put some pictures below, but the rooms were magnificent. After about an hour and 45 we were finished with our agenda for the day and headed into a plaza where we had an hour to eat. The boys and girls each had their own amazing experiences at their respective restaurants, the adults on the other hand faced some poor service which included them being told that they had ordered enough. We then head back to the school and played a bunch of soccer against the spaniards which we lost (shoutout to Lauren for scoring a hat-trick). And finally, we each head back to our separate homes for the first day of the weekend because the spaniards don’t have school tomorrow! That’s it for this outstanding Thursday!

¡Adiós!
